Where It All Began

My first inspiration came from my father.

During my early childhood, he placed his film camera in my hands and allowed me to explore the world through it — freely, without instruction or pressure. That simple act of trust shaped how I see images even today. I learned early that photography was not about control, but about curiosity.

I continued using that film camera until 2005, learning patience the slow way — limited frames, delayed results, and intentional observation.

Evolving With the Medium

As technology evolved, so did my tools — naturally, without obsession.

I moved from film to early mobile cameras with minimal pixels, using what was available rather than waiting for ideal equipment. Later came DSLRs, followed by mirrorless systems, and eventually drone photography — each transition driven by need and perspective, not trend.

The tools changed. The way I observe did not.

Travel as a Way of Understanding

I don’t travel to escape life. I travel to understand it.

I’m not interested in collecting destinations or chasing highlights. I walk, observe, wait, and allow places to reveal themselves slowly through streets, routines, and everyday life.

Photography Without Force

Photography is how I record what I encounter on the road.

My work lives in culture, street life, travel, black and white narratives, and portraiture that values presence over polish. I don’t stage moments. I don’t chase perfection. I let things unfold.

Sometimes that means coming back without a photograph and I’m comfortable with that.
